Prince George’s County – You Asked for It

Well, Prince George’s County voters, congratulations. You’ve just elected Aisha Braveboy—yes, that Aisha Braveboy—as your next County Executive. The same Soros-backed State’s Attorney who spent the last several years turning PG County’s criminal justice system into a revolving door just got promoted. And now, nearly one million residents are about to learn—painfully—that elections have consequences.

Let’s break this down.

From Prosecutor to Politician-in-Chief

Braveboy built her brand on “restorative justice,” which sounds great until you realize it meant declining to prosecute criminals, coddling repeat offenders, and prioritizing “equity” over actual public safety. Her office’s refusal to pursue mandatory sentences for violent crime, especially for juvenile offenders, led to a measurable spike in carjackings, armed robberies, and assaults. In some parts of the county, calling 911 felt like ordering takeout—you might get what you asked for, but there’s no guarantee, and it’ll probably be cold by the time it arrives.

Now, she’s in charge of everything.

Failing Schools? Don’t Expect a Turnaround

PG County Public Schools are consistently ranked near the bottom in Maryland for academic achievement. Under Braveboy’s leadership, expect even more politicization of the classroom and fewer results. Critical Race Theory? Likely to get even more funding. STEM programs and literacy initiatives? Get ready to watch them quietly fade into the background. Don’t count on a focus on excellence—Braveboy’s ideology prioritizes outcomes over effort. So, if your kid is excelling, better tell them to slow down. Equity demands it.

Crime Will Continue—And Probably Get Worse

The County Executive oversees police budgets, crime prevention initiatives, and local governance. And Braveboy? She’s been openly hostile to law enforcement. She’s spent her time as State’s Attorney weakening their authority and giving cover to activists who think police are the problem. If you thought PG County was already unsafe, just wait until the next wave of budget cuts, “community oversight boards,” and progressive experiments masquerading as public safety reform.

More emboldened criminals. Fewer consequences. And police who’d rather transfer out than get dragged through another internal affairs inquisition because they dared to stop someone mid-carjacking.

High Taxes: The Only Thing Guaranteed to Rise

Let’s not kid ourselves—PG County’s tax base is already buckling under bloated government and unfunded mandates. And Braveboy? She’s never met a tax increase she didn’t like. The county’s budget shortfalls, pension gaps, and crumbling infrastructure will all be “solved” the way progressives always solve them: by reaching deeper into your pockets.

And don’t expect economic development to offset those rising costs. Braveboy’s brand of progressive politics scares off business investment faster than a double homicide near a Metro station. PG County already loses out to neighboring jurisdictions like Montgomery County and Northern Virginia. Now, the “Welcome to PG County” sign might as well say, Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here.

But Hey, She Made History… Again

Braveboy’s supporters will tell you this is a victory for representation. That it’s important for young girls to see someone who looks like them in charge. And sure, that’s nice. But wouldn’t it be better if she actually delivered results?

Because right now, PG County isn’t lacking in representation. It’s lacking in functional schools, safe neighborhoods, and responsible governance. Braveboy’s election isn’t a triumph—it’s a warning.

Residents, Brace Yourselves

If you own a small business—plan your exit strategy. If you’ve got school-age kids—look into charter or private options (if you can afford it). And if you thought things couldn’t get worse in PG County… buckle up. The same “soft-on-crime, hard-on-taxpayers” blueprint that failed on a smaller scale is now being rolled out countywide.

To the voters of PG County: You’ve handed the keys to the person who already drove public safety into a ditch. Let’s hope you at least kept your receipt. Because as the old saying goes—you break it, you bought it.
