At just 20 years old, Jake Taylor became the youngest elected official in Harford County history—a distinction that might sound surprising until you meet him. He’s sharp, steady, and serious about one thing: serving the community that raised him. Now, Jake is taking the next step, running for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 34B, carrying with him the energy of a new generation and the values that built towns like Bel Air.

His campaign slogan says it all: “A New Voice for Harford.” And believe me, it’s more than a slogan—it’s a mission.

Grounded in Community, Driven by Service

Jake is a lifelong resident of Greater Bel Air, a place he still proudly calls home. From a young age, he immersed himself in community service—not to build a résumé, but because that’s what you do when you care about your neighbors.

Whether helping at local events, working with civic organizations, or volunteering his time to support youth engagement, Jake never stood on the sidelines. That sense of purpose carried him to Loyola University Maryland, where he earned a degree in Political Science, and eventually into elected office—while most of his peers were still figuring out what came next.

Experience Beyond His Years

While many politicians talk about how the system works, Jake’s already seen it firsthand. He currently works as a Legislative Aide for State Senator Jason Gallion, where he’s helped constituents navigate state bureaucracy and witnessed the dysfunction in Annapolis up close.

Jake’s seen how progressive mandates, out-of-control spending, and regulatory overreach are hurting small towns across Maryland. And he’s not the type to sit back and complain—he’s the type to step up and fight back.

A Conservative with a Clear Agenda

When Jake first ran for Bel Air Town Commissioner, he did so with three clear priorities:

1. Preserving Small-Town Charm
2. Fiscal Responsibility
3. Public Safety

He ran a focused, principled campaign—and he won. Since taking office, Jake has proven that conservative leadership works. He’s worked to protect taxpayer dollars, support law enforcement, and maintain the strong sense of community that makes Bel Air special.

Now, as he runs for state delegate, he’s bringing those same priorities to a broader stage. He’s not interested in being another rubber stamp in Annapolis. He’s going to be the firewall.

• Fighting for Fiscal Responsibility: Maryland families are already overburdened. Jake will say no to reckless spending and tax hikes.
• Ensuring Affordability: Whether it’s housing, utilities, or groceries, Jake will stand up for working families struggling under the weight of inflation and government interference.
• Promoting Sound Energy Policy: He rejects radical green mandates that hurt rural and suburban communities and wants solutions that are both economically and environmentally sustainable.
