Last night, Israel did what too many Western nations have been too timid—or too blind—to do for far too long. It took decisive action against an existential threat, not only to its own sovereignty but to the safety and stability of the entire civilized world.
In a carefully coordinated strike of extraordinary precision, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) neutralized Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities—crippling a decades-long ambition of the Islamic Republic to obtain the most devastating weapons known to man. These weren’t empty warehouses or research centers. These were hardened, fortified, underground enrichment sites engineered for one purpose: to make good on Iran’s promise to wipe Israel off the map.
Let’s be clear: Iran didn’t want a nuclear weapon for deterrence. It wanted it for leverage, for terror, and ultimately—for obliteration. The mullahs didn’t chant “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” for dramatic flair. They meant it. This was not merely a regional dispute. This was a global threat.
To any morally grounded observer, Israel’s action was appropriate, justified, and quite frankly, long overdue.
And yet—scroll through the festering swamp that is social media today, and what do you find? Not grateful that a free democracy eliminated a genocidal threat. Not relief that a potential nuclear war in the Middle East was averted. Instead, you’ll see a grotesque stream of reactions, dripping with moral relativism, willful ignorance, and antisemitism dressed up in the thin veil of “anti-Zionism.”
One user, with thousands of followers, actually wrote:
“Iran’s oppressive regime sucks. But when Israel kills Persians who hate their govt, then Israel deserves to get nuked! Netanyahu is a POS. Killing civilians preemptively is NOT self-defense. WW3 anyone? 🤬 Putin used the same rhetoric when he attacked Ukraine.”
The intellectual rot here is astonishing. Israel didn’t “kill Persians”—it took out nuclear sites. Iran’s “civilians who hate their government” aren’t being targeted by Israel—the Iranian regime is executing them. And comparing a surgical strike to destroy weapons of mass destruction to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine? That’s like comparing a police officer disarming a bomb to a mugger shooting a bystander.
The idea that Israel is somehow the aggressor in this equation is nothing short of gaslighting on a geopolitical scale.
Iran’s Record of Aggression
This is not a country seeking peace. Iran is a theocratic regime that has:
- Funded and armed terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, whose charter calls for the extermination of Jews worldwide.
- Launched drone attacks on American bases and provided weapons to anti-Western insurgents throughout the Middle East.
- Supplied drones and missiles to Russia, aiding Putin’s war against Ukraine and defying international sanctions.
- Plotted assassinations on U.S. soil, including against former Trump administration officials.
- Imprisoned, tortured, and murdered its citizens, especially women, religious minorities, and political dissidents.
- Cracked down violently on the Mahsa Amini protests, arresting thousands and executing demonstrators, many of them teenagers.
Iran is not a misunderstood nation; it is a menace. And the only thing worse than ignoring that fact is pretending it’s Israel who should be condemned.
A Nuclear Iran Is a Threat to Everyone
Let’s get this straight: Israel didn’t just act in its interest—it acted in the world’s interest. A nuclear Iran would have triggered a cascade of nuclear proliferation in the region. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt—all would race to match the threat. One miscalculation, one errant missile, one proxy war gone too far—and the world burns.
Iran’s ambitions were never regional. Tehran’s long game is global. Just ask the dissidents hunted down in Europe, or the diplomats targeted by Iranian intelligence in South America.
The lesson of the 20th century is this: never appease expansionist tyrannies. We tried that with Hitler. We tried that with Stalin. And we tried it again with the disastrous 2015 Iran Deal, which gifted the mullahs billions in unfrozen assets while asking politely—pretty please—not to build nukes.
The result? They lied. They enriched uranium. They built bunkers. And they pushed toward the red line.
The West Must Choose: Civilization or Cowardice
What does it say about us that defending democracy is now controversial?
What does it say that young Americans—fed garbage in classrooms and TikToks—believe Israel is the villain and Iran the victim?
Just look at these recent social media posts:
“If Israel really cared about peace, they wouldn’t provoke Iran. This is going to escalate the whole region.”
Translation: If only the Jews would sit quietly and wait to be obliterated, peace would prevail.
Or this one:
“The West created Israel. Maybe the West needs to fix its mistake.”
That’s not critique. That’s a call for erasure. That’s blood libel wrapped in progressive hashtags.
These ideas used to be whispered in shadows. Now they’re paraded on college campuses, mainstreamed by influencers, and even echoed by members of Congress who can’t bring themselves to say the words “Israel has a right to exist” without qualifying them into oblivion.
Israel Is on the Right Side of History
When the dust settles—and it will—we will look back on last night as a turning point. The moment when the world’s only Jewish state reminded the globe that Never Again isn’t a slogan for T-shirts. It’s a doctrine of survival.
Israel is a vibrant, pluralistic democracy. It’s a hub of innovation, science, religious freedom, and civil liberties in a region where those ideas are often punished by prison—or death. It is not perfect. No nation is. But it is good. And that matters.
Israel shares our values. Iran despises them.
Israel saves lives. Iran ends them.
Israel builds. Iran destroys.
To stand with Israel isn’t to take a side in a conflict—it’s to take a stand for civilization.
Conclusion: No Apologies. No Regrets. No Nukes.
Israel owes no apology for destroying a nuclear threat.
It owes no moral concession to the pundits wringing their hands while sipping lattes in safe Western cities.
And it certainly owes nothing to the coalition of anti-Western agitators who chant “Free Palestine” while waving flags of terrorist groups that throw gay men off rooftops and use children as human shields.
Let the record show: Iran’s path to nuclear weapons was enabled by naïve diplomacy, funded by sanctions relief, and protected by cowardly elites. But it was stopped by Israeli resolve, precision, and bravery.
Israel acted not just for its own survival, but for yours.
And to those equating Israel with Russia, or defending Iran in the name of “resistance,” understand this:
History is watching.
So is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
And this time, we will not look away.
