Free Palestine’ Was the Last Thing He Said—Then He Pulled the Trigger

Last night, a terrorist—let’s call him what he is—shot and killed two Israeli embassy staffers. His final words, reportedly, were “Free, Free Palestine.” That wasn’t a plea for peace. It wasn’t about “rights” or “justice.” It was a declaration of hate—raw, unfiltered, and violent. Two innocent people, targeted not for what they did, but for who they are.

And if you’re surprised this happened, then you haven’t been paying attention.

Look around—this isn’t an isolated act. This is the latest chapter in a horrifying, escalating trend: anti-Semitism, once whispered in the shadows of fringe groups, now shouts from bullhorns at college graduations and seeps into mainstream discourse with a wink and a nod from our so-called intellectual elites. It’s become “fashionable” to hate Jews—as long as you call it “anti-Zionism.” That’s the moral sleight of hand that enables this madness.

We’ve watched Jewish students get harassed, doxed, and spat on at Columbia, at UCLA, at my own school—Georgetown. We’ve seen campus protesters block access to libraries, physically intimidate their Jewish peers, and glorify groups like Hamas, which, for the record, murdered babies on October 7.

And yet what do we hear from the White House? From this administration that claims to stand against hate?

Silence. Or worse—excuses.

Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have spent four years tolerating, platforming, and even funding the very voices now preaching blood libel from quad stages and campus encampments. They’ve bowed to the TikTok mob and the DEI commissars who treat anti-Semitism as the “acceptable” form of hate.

At my own school, we had students scream “intifada” and “resistance by any means” at a Jewish student panel. When we pushed back, we were accused of “suppressing free speech.” But when a conservative speaker visits campus? Suddenly, security is tripled and protest zones are established three blocks away.

This is the hypocrisy. This is the rot.

And it extends beyond the ivory tower. Just last week, in Montgomery County, Maryland—home to some of the most “progressive” parks in America—someone spray-painted anti-Semitic graffiti. Not a whisper from local leadership. No press conferences. No task forces. Just a shrug.

To every college president who said nothing while Jewish students were chased from campus lawns…
To every activist who insists this isn’t about Jews, while holding signs depicting Stars of David in trash cans…
To every professor who lectures on “decolonization” and then refuses to condemn terror…

You helped make this possible.

A man screamed “Free Palestine” and opened fire. That wasn’t activism. That wasn’t liberation. That was hate. And the blood is not just on his hands—it’s on the hands of every coward who condoned, excused, or stayed silent.

This needs to stop. Not tomorrow. Not next semester. Now.

America should be a place where every student, every citizen, and yes—every Jew—feels safe. And if we can’t agree on that most basic idea, then we are already far more lost than we think.
