Christmas Wishes: A Letter to Congress

Dear Members of Congress,

Merry Christmas!

As the holiday season envelops us in its festive spirit, I find myself writing to you in the manner of a child penning a wish list to Santa Claus. However, instead of toys or games, my list is composed of earnest hopes for legislative actions that resonate deeply with Republican values and my vision for a stronger America.

  1. Tax Cuts and Permanent Implementation of the 2017 Tax Reform: The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was like a gift to many American taxpayers, boosting the economy and providing much-needed relief. I wish for these tax cuts to be made permanent, ensuring ongoing prosperity and financial stability for our citizens.
  2. Enhanced Border Security: Just as Santa needs to manage his workshop securely, our nation needs robust border security. Strengthening our borders is crucial for the safety and well-being of every American, deterring illegal immigration and safeguarding our nation.
  3. Tort Reform: The need for tort reform is pressing, to prevent frivolous lawsuits and ensure that our legal system is fair and just for all, not just a playground for the wealthy and powerful.
  4. Repeal of Obamacare: I hope for a healthcare system that is more efficient, less bureaucratic, and more accessible to all Americans. Repealing and replacing Obamacare with a system that better aligns with these principles would be a significant step forward.
  5. Welfare Reform: Reforming the welfare system to encourage self-reliance and provide support in a way that incentivizes work and personal responsibility is crucial for the economic and social health of our nation.
  6. A New Crime Bill for More Police on the Streets: Ensuring the safety of our communities is paramount. A new crime bill that increases the presence of well-trained and equipped police officers on our streets would be a significant step in maintaining law and order.
  7. Environmental Reform and Deregulation: While protecting our environment is essential, overregulation can stifle innovation and economic growth. Sensible environmental reform and deregulation can strike a balance between ecological responsibility and economic development.

This Christmas, my wish is for these policies to be seriously considered and implemented for the betterment of our great nation. May this festive season bring wisdom, courage, and a spirit of cooperation to your deliberations.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

Yours in festive spirit,

The American Taxpayer
